STYX is a non-custodial wallet, meaning you alone control your crypto. STYX cannot access, reset, or recover your wallet if you lose your Recovery Phrase.

How to Back Up Your Wallet

When setting up your wallet, you'll be given a 12 word Recovery Phrase. This phrase is the only way to recover your wallet.

Follow these steps to keep it safe:

1. Write it down by hand — do not store it digitally (e.g., photos, notes apps). 2. Store it offline, in a private and secure location. 3. Never share it with anyone — no one from STYX will ever ask for it. 4. For extra protection, consider a fireproof safe or metal seed plate.

How to Restore Your Wallet

If you get a new phone or reinstall the app, follow these steps:

1. Download the STYX Wallet on your new device. 2. Select "Restore Wallet" during setup. 3. Enter your exact Recovery Phrase (12 words). 4. Your wallet and funds will be restored immediately.

Final Reminder:

If you lose your Recovery Phrase, your crypto is permanently lost. There is no way to recover it without the phrase.
